Career Coaching is a specialist
service for private and organisational clients supporting career
identification, change or development, and/or for those facing
redeployment and redundancy. The path of coaching very much depends on
where you are now and what you want to achieve.
For those confused by what they want to do next, I
recommend a holistic approach which works to create self-awareness of
your desired purpose in life, your values, strengths,
interests/motivations, achievements, transferable experience,
development areas, ideal work environments and the realities you need
to factor in to your career planning and decision-making.
Role-play, mock interviews, and CV feedback can all be
provided as part of the fees. NLP and positive psychology
techniques are also offered (as part of the service) to help build
self-confidence and motivation, manage nerves, and building effective
communication skills.
Diagnostics can be used to create a baseline
and stimulus for your development and choice of future positions or
organisations. These can include psychometric tests e.g. Career MBTI,
Strong Interest inventory, and Career Orientation which then summarise
possible occupations to match your profile.
When you sign up for more than 4 sessions, you will
receive complimentary profiles for learning and thinking styles
as well as self assessment audits to illicit your values, beliefs,
motivations, skills and abilities. You will also receive a resource
guides which consists of:
●
“Career Resources toolkit”
– useful websites, books, organisations, publications, and
psychometric tests which can assist with detailed job search.
●
“Networking for Career
Opportunities”
●
“Making the most of your CV”
●
“Confidence and relaxation
techniques”
The purpose of these guides is to ensure that the
coaching sessions can be used for just that – coaching (helping
you to find the answers and way forward for yourself that is right for
you). However we accept that when it comes to your career you can at
times feel completely lost where coaching may not be enough to help you
through the maze. The guides therefore act as stimulus for thinking and
save you time and energy in sourcing, researching and reading so that
you can move on more quickly and get into action.
